Habilitation in law in Portugal requires a two-day public examination of the candidate, divided in three parts: the discussion of the curriculum vitae, includingall previous publications of the candidate; the presentation of a draft course for the curriculum of a law faculty; and finally, the lectio magistralis, a lecture on a highlyrelevant legal topic chosen by the candidate.
The examination jury was composedof eight full professors of law, three of them from the Catholic University and fiveof them from other Universities.
